The Casting (Orthopedic) Technician applies and removes orthopedic casts, splints, and braces under physician supervision, while assisting with patient care and maintaining clinic supplies and equipment. The role requires technical skills in aseptic techniques, wound care, vital sign monitoring, and patient communication, with an emphasis on compassion and adherence to clinical protocols. Certification and relevant experience in orthopedic or medical assistance fields are preferred to ensure competent patient support in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
