CDL-A Trainee Truck Driver | Paid Training Available | Columbus, OH

No Class A Experience Required — Paid Training from Day One

If you’re a newly licensed CDL-A driver looking to start your trucking career with the right foundation, our CDL-A trainee program serving drivers in and around the Columbus, Ohio metro area provides paid training, hands-on mentorship, and a clear upgrade path to a solo OTR driving position with consistent miles and reliable weekly income.

This opportunity is designed for drivers who want stability, structured support, and long-term career growth — not a quick turnover trainee role.

Pay & Compensation

  • Training Pay: $650 per week for the first 4–6 weeks

  • Solo Pay After Upgrade: $1,000–$1,400+ per week

  • Mileage Pay: $0.43–$0.51 CPM after training (based on experience)

  • Stop Pay: $15 per stop once upgraded

  • Pay Frequency: Weekly direct deposit

Most drivers upgrade to solo quickly once training requirements are completed.

Equipment & Freight

  • Assigned late-model automatic tractor after solo qualification

  • No-touch dry van freight

  • Combination of drop & hook and live load/unload

  • Nationwide freight network

This setup allows new drivers to focus on learning and building confidence without unnecessary complications.

Schedule & Operating Area

  • OTR Schedule: 12–14 days out with a 34-hour home reset

  • Operating Area: 48-state OTR after training

  • Home Base: Columbus, OH metro region

This is a true over-the-road position intended to build experience and consistency.

  • Valid CDL-A license (recent graduates encouraged)

  • Willingness to run OTR for two consecutive weeks

  • Must live within 200 miles of Columbus, OH

  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism
