Job Summary:
This Analyst role is in the Global Financial Crimes Division (GFCD) of MUFG Bank Ltd. The role will report to the Vice President, Americas Compliance Issues Management Department. This role will be focused on supporting the administration and execution of the Americas Compliance Issues Management Unit (ACIM), including supporting enhancement and execution of issues review and confirmations processes, maintaining workflow tools and guidance documents, and supporting implementation and execution of the Americas Compliance Issue Management program activities.
Responsibilities:
Gain familiarity across all three of the MUFG financial crimes and core compliance lines of defense, including core second-line programs in Financial Crimes (Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery & Corruption) and Core Compliance, business functions, Internal Audit, Compliance Testing, and Exam & Audit Management.
Develop subject matter expertise regarding Issues Management policy, standard, and procedures.
Support the review of new issues for compliance impact and consult with stakeholders to timely and accurately confirm compliance related issues, coordinate control reviews, and maintain program execution documents.
Support compliance activities and perform issue coordination duties, including projects and ad hoc duties as assigned.
Assist in the Coordination and tracking of financial crime-related issues from identification to resolution.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring financial crime patterns and recommend improvements.
Help develop and refine procedures, job aids, and guidance documents to enhance the department's effectiveness.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree required
0-3 years of experience in Financial Services, preferably in Financial Crimes Compliance or Risk Management areas.
Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Office Suite of applications
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Team-oriented approach to completing objectives
Strong ability to drive complex discussions with MUFG management and stakeholders
The typical base pay range for this role is between $64,000 - $80,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
