Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of our network systems.

Job Duties:

  • Design, implement, and manage the organization's local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN).
  • Develop network architecture plans and execute projects to enhance network capacity, reliability, security and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activities and implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Conduct regular system updates and network performance tests to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly, collaborating with the support team and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with vendors to acquire and implement network solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide training to IT staff and end-users on network-related topics.
  • Work closely with IT professionals and other departments to ensure effective communication and integration of network systems.
  • Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve network performance and efficiency.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in the configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role for at least 5 years.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certifications preferred.
