About The Role & Team

The Product Adoption organization is focused on helping users realize longterm value from Amplitude. The Nth User Adoption team plays a critical role in that journey by driving expansion within existing accounts.

Many of our customers start with just a few users often in product or data teams. Our job is to unlock value for everyone else. We build features that help new users get activated, highlight relevant parts of the product they might otherwise miss, and expand usage across teams and departments. This is especially impactful in large, complex organizations, where getting from the first few users to broad adoption is a multiplier for retention and revenue.

We work across Amplitudes core product suite and integrations, partnering closely with Product, Design, and GTM. We ship fast, test often, and use data to guide what we build and where we invest. Our work touches activation, feature adoption, habit formation, and expansion the entire lifecycle of turning someone from a new user into a loyal advocate.

This is a role for a productminded engineer who wants to own meaningful projects endtoend and help shape the strategy and systems behind how customers adopt Amplitude.

As a Senior Software Engineer on Product Adoption, you will:

  • Design and build product features that drive activation, engagement, and crossteam expansion
  • Work across the full stack using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and GraphQL
  • Lead project development from planning to launch and ongoing iteration
  • Build experiences that improve user onboarding, feature discovery, and product education
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, GTM, and other engineers to prioritize and deliver impact
  • Use data to identify opportunities and measure outcomes
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to technical decisionmaking and team culture
  • Leverage AI coding tools to speed up development while staying grounded in system understanding
  • Improve the quality, reliability, and maintainability of the code you touch
  • Help shape the longterm vision for how we grow adoption across the Amplitude platform

Youll be a great fit if you:

  • Have strong experience with modern web technologies, especially React, Node.js, and GraphQL
  • Can break down complex problems and own features from idea to release
  • Think deeply about the user experience and how technical decisions show up for the customer

  • Are comfortable mentoring and supporting other engineers

  • Have led crossfunctional initiatives or worked closely with GTM partners
  • Use AI tools (like Copilot or ChatGPT) to accelerate, not replace, your workflow

Based on Colorado law: Colorado range: $159,000 - $239,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission).

Based on legislation in New York City: New York City salary range: $177,000 - $266,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission).

Based on legislation in California: San Francisco Bay Area salary range: $177,000 - $266,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission).

Based on legislation in California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): California salary range: $159,000 - $239,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission).

Based on legislation in Washington state: Washington salary range: $159,000 - $239,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission).

Based on legislation in Washington state only: Unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans. Finally, a company sponsored 401(k) retirement plan.
