Careerscape is recruiting for a Cleveland title company that needs experienced Title Examiners to research property records and identify title issues. You'll search public records, analyze chain of title, and prepare title reports for real estate transactions.

Responsibilities
- Search public records for deeds, mortgages, and liens
- Analyze chain of title for property ownership history
- Identify title defects, encumbrances, and issues
- Prepare detailed title examination reports
- Review legal descriptions and surveys
- Determine insurability of property titles
- Communicate findings to underwriters and closers
- Clear title issues before closing when possible
- Meet production deadlines for pending transactions
Requirements
- High school diploma required, associate degree preferred
- 2-4 years of title examination experience
- Strong knowledge of real property law and title issues
- Experience researching county records and databases
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with high accuracy standards
- Good written communication for reports
- Proficiency with title production software
- Understanding of real estate transactions
