Summary
Participants learn about peer mediation and establish peer mediators with monthly rotations so all who want to participate can.
Instructional Strategies
1. Gather youth to train as peer mediators.
2. Use video to demonstrate what mediation looks like (i.e.: community heroes who help others and provide basic mediation skills).
3. Organize youth into Peer Mediation Teams with 3-5 youth in each team.
4. Instruct teams that team members should rotate each month.
5. Have each member wear a peace sign to remind classmates that they can turn to the peer mediators wearing a peace sign when they need help.
Participant Tasks
