“For the last few years, I have been working on a series of drawings from photos and archival material from the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. Sunflowers have been a recurring theme in this work, as a symbol of peace, but also they are particularly important at our current moment, when so many of us have been stuck indoors and deprived of nature. They represent a source of continuous and renewed wellness, a reminder that nature still thrives even when human societies and economies are in chaos.
