Registration on the Academy platform enables you to participate in a social learning journey that promotes understanding of the principles of human rights and how to use them as a tool for positive change in your local community or at the national level. Knowledge of rights is essential for claiming them, defending them, and promoting them.
Our free, open courses are aimed at learners interested in action-oriented human rights education, as well as promoting and advocating human rights. Our courses cover a range of topics, foremost of which is a foundation course in human rights.
Through capacity building, the participants and learners will be at the heart of Amnesty International’s campaigns at the local, national, and regional level.
With its open learning platform, the Academy is a self-guided distance learning space where you can gain valuable skills and knowledge in human rights wherever you are. You can also obtain a certificate at the end of certain learning courses.
To get started, all you need to do is register on the platform, select a suitable course, start your self-guided learning and come back to complete it whenever you have the time. The Academy offers courses in many languages including Arabic, English, Spanish, French and Russian.
