Summary
Participants create contracts to mitigate conflict within their community or family highlighting the commitments to one another, and the consequences for violating the contract.
Instructional Strategies
1. Find contract templates online or craft them together as a family or class with categories/sections that highlight the needs and wants of the community, the commitments made to one another, and the consequences for violating the contract.
2. Use the contract to remind one another of the shared commitments of the family/community whenever there is a conflict.
3. For younger children, create contracts using pictures.
