1. Guide participants as they listen for the counter story while practicing active listening.
2. Remind them that they will be listening for possibilities of resolution.
3. Remind them that they will be listening for ideas that will help identify the speakerÃs underlying needs.
4. Remind them that this involves listening beyond facts; listen more deeply for values important to the speaker.
