Activity

Summary

Participants will recognize and appreciate what they have, so that they can share their talents with others.

Instructional Strategies

1. Have your participants keep a journal with writings and/or artwork to record and express what you are most thankful.

2. Remember to include the many small things that are easy to take for granted.

3. This is a good way to recognize and appreciate what we have, so that we may share our talents with others.

4. Make sure that names and characteristics of people who are important to them also get entered.

5. Challenge them to make an entry in this journal at least weekly, and make sure the focus stays on gratitude.

6. For young children, a gratitude journal can be in the form of pictures.
