Summary

Students will explore and understand historical events from multidimensional perspectives. They will understand that events are complex, and often recorded from the standpoint of only one of many perspectives.

Instructional Strategies

1. Discuss with the class the different people or groups impacted by events in history. 2. Have students select one of those people or groups to represent. 3. Have each student explore the same time or event in history from the perspective of their chosen person or group. 4. Individuals then come together and share their perspectives in order to have a whole and multidimensional portrait of the historical period or event.
