"Poetry of the Person"

Summary
Participants will write poetry that can help to solidify their identity and learn more about their peers.
Instructional Strategies
1. Have participants write poetry about who they are, what they value, and where they come from. I am from... can be a helpful writing prompt, followed by family names, ancestor names and descriptions, sounds, sights, smells, foods, songs, place names, verbal expressions, and more.
2. This is a useful way to learn more about the personal lives of participants, in order to strengthen understanding and connection.
Participant Tasks
