Our series will occur over 4 sessions, each building upon the last. We therefore ask all who register to commit to attending all 4 sessions. Sessions will take place from 9:00am-1:00pm (Hawaiʻi time) on the following dates: 9/25/21, 10/23/21, 11/20/21, and 1/22/22. Note that DOE participants have extra dates to attend, and those have been set in the PDE3 portal.
Our Ceeds of Peace Peacebuilding Workshop Series is open to all in our community (Hawaiʻi, our nation, and the world) — educators & school staff, family members, non-profit & for-profit professionals, creatives, and anyone who aspires to build peace within themselves, within their homes, within their schools, within their communities, and beyond. This year, the series will be 100% virtual via Zoom and 100% free admission. Note: Hawaiʻi DOE participants seeking PDE3 credits must also register on the PDE3 portal.
Over the past several years running the 3-Part Peace-building Workshop Series, our participants have launched hundreds of action plans in our community, including: Social-emotional learning curricula in their schools; engaging community in peace walks, rallies, murals, and gardens; restorative justice campaigns; LGBTQ+ clubs; family conflict resolution plans; and peer mediation programs, among many others. We aim to wrap our youth in peacebuilding practices and action plans so we can tackle conflicts and challenges in our community while raising the next generation of peacebuilding leaders.
This year’s workshop series, generously supported by Nā Lei Aloha Foundation and the H.T. Hayashi Foundation, is now closed for enrollment.
