Summary
Participants will view and discuss celebrations from different cultures throughout the world to broaden their knowledge of cultures other than their own.
Instructional Strategies
1. Show youth a variety of pictures of celebrations involving young people from around the world.
2. Place cut-outs of known children/students into the celebration picture (make sure to rotate the pictures).
3. Have the youth guess where the celebration is and what the kids are celebrating.
4. Ask them what the significance of the celebration is?
5. Ask what similar celebrations exist in our country?
