Summary

Organizer brought the voice of Hawai`i’s youth to the planning and decision-making of the United Nations. “I am helping coordinate the transfer of World Youth Congress (WYC) operations from England to Hawai`i; to encourage youth leaders from across the state to participate in the planning of the next WYC; to integrate Hawaiian and other indigenous cultural values into Peace Child International/WYC programs; and to develop a Peace Child/Global Youth Center in Hawai`i where youth from conflict regions throughout the world (and including our islands) can participate in facilitated conflict resolution and peer mediation activities”.
